About Me
My professional and personal journey has been a crazy quilt of experiences and geographies stitched together to form a unique tapestry.
I am a philosopher/ craft and textile artist/ educator, who has worked in the non-profit sector, higher education, and philanthropy for over 15 years. I am now working as an independent non-profit consultant.
I am originally from Detroit, MI and my academic journey led me to Atlanta, GA, where I studied Philosophy at Spelman College before going on to receive a PhD from Emory University. My professional journey has taken me to Philadelphia, New York, and now Oakland, CA where my amazing husband will hold down home base while I explore where life might take me next. Unwavering passion for social justice issues, equity, and philanthropy, especially with respect to youth and young people of color.
